Wine Tourism (Re)open - 1 June

2020/05/27

At the northernmost point of Portugal, far from population centres, the first Alvarinho brand from Melgaço – Soalheiro – will reopen its doors to the public on 1 June, complying with all the recommendations from the Department of Health and from Turismo de Portugal (certified as "Clean & Safe"). The visit circuit has been reformulated, with the experience being mostly conducted outside, with a view of the River Minho valley, in prime contact with nature. An asset for visitors, without any doubt.

As has always been the case, groups will be limited so as to provide a highly personalised experience. The goal is to provide an occasion that goes beyond wine tasting... but includes the discovery of everything that wine has to teach. The programmes are varied and all reservations can be comfortably made online through the platform enoturismo.soalheiro.com.

Some surprises are still being prepared. For example, the production of Soalheiro infusions, a convergence of the wine terroir and aromatic herbs, will become part of the visits.

DIGITAL WINE TOURISM HAS BEEN A SUCCESS AND WILL CONTINUE During the period of confinement, the Soalheiro Team did not stop working, and enhanced the concept of digital wine tourism. Proof of this is the array of online experiences that brought to people's homes the passion and secrets of the Alvarinho variety continuing to mark life’s “little” moments in a simple but thrilling way. Having had an excellent reception by the public, Digital Wine Tourism will continue alongside face-to-face visits. More news shortly…
